openLooking for a character called Trista Live Action TV
All that I know about the show is that there was a woman on a beach and the character's name was Trista.
This would either be a show or a tv movie, that would have been on tv between 1968 and 1972.
Any help would be appreciated as I have been searching everywhere on google. My grandmother named my aunt "Trista" after this character but she doesn't remember what the show was called. My family is looking for the show that inspired my grandma. Thank you!!!
resolved Black teacher dreams of a world where teachers are treated like sports stars Live Action TV
Saw an episode of what looked like an American series about the late 90s/2000s
- I think most of the cast were black
- There was this news report about an athlete getting a huge salary and some lady says that teachers should be paid that sort of money
- This teacher has a nap and dreams about a world where teachers are treated like sports stars - complete with NFL style commentators for their classes and slow motion replay when they draw on the screen
- He was teaching something like snails or something and he fakes eating it then the there was a replay showing how he palmed it
- He was considering getting a new contract for a whole heap more money this little girl tries to give her meagre savings to get him to stay
openKids parents turn into monsters late at night Live Action TV
I think it was an ( anthology) TV show from the 1980s. All I remember is a boy whose parents make him go to bed every night and stay asleep all night and make sure not to get up. Then one night he stays up really late and watches his parents turn into grotesque monsters and finds out that all adults turn into monsters late at night and then turn back into regular people in the morning
openGuy in Haunted House Confronted by Two Ghosts Live Action TV
I am desperately trying to identify something I saw as a kid. This is everything I remember. This would have aired on local TV (not cable/satellite) in either the late 80s, or early 90s (not after fall of 1992). A man is near or at a railroad. He's offered a place to stay for the night and is taken to a house. In front of the house are three crosses, one smaller than the other two, I believe it is said a family was killed there. While the man is staying there overnight (I think I remember a deck of playing cards for some reason?), two ghosts, possibly one white and one red, appear and fly towards the screen. This is all I remember. Scared the shit out of me, and I would kill to find out what this is. Major thanks in advance. I listed it as "live action TV" but I can't rule out it was a movie. I know it was on at least twice.
Edited by RyanClark85openDisney TV show from the 2000's Live Action TV
All I can remember is 1 episode of the TV show, I think it was the first episode, and possibly the last. I'm almost certain that it said New in front of the Title like it usually did with new episodes. Anyways, what I remember from the episode Is at least 2 or 3 people sitting in a stadium when they hear on a radio that a nuclear bomb is going to be dropped somewhere in their area, but they don't panic because they think it's probably not going to hit them, but then shortly after the bomb lands directly on top of them. That's all I remember from the episode right now, but I could probably remember more if I tried. I think it was on the Disney Channel but it's possible that it was something else like Nickelodeon.
openLate 90's/early 2000's live action children's show with giant story book set Live Action TV
There was this TV show that I watched when I was really young. Episodes were really short and the set was a giant story book that opened up. I remember that there were many compartments within the story book with bed that could pull out from the story book. I watched this in Canada but it might have been from the USA as well.
Edited by No37openNon-English New Girl Kids Show Live Action TV
This was a kids (probably aimed at preteens) show which probably aired in the mid to late 2000's. It might have aired on Disney or some other channel. A new Poor Ugly Duckling (glasses, braces, blonde hair in pigtails) move to town with her single mother. She hasn't ever met her father. Falls for the Popular Guy (not sure if he was popular) who is the Rich Mean Girl's boyfriend or something. The usual stuff goes down and there's a costume party for everyone. The love interest and rich girl are wearing Mickey and Minnie themed costumes. I don't remember the main character's. Her mom was dressed as Batwoman or Catwoman or something close. There's a guy dressed as her male counterpart who may have been the mean girl's dad ( I don't remember correctly). The mom used to sing a melody the mysterious dad used to sing. The main character once went to the house of the Batman guy and heard him singing and playing the same tune on the piano. It may have been the other way round, but it was definitely in the guy's house. He was strongly hinted to be her father and was probably the mean girl's father, too. And that is when the show stopped airing in my country (after the costume party). I remember the main character being shown riding a bicycle in the opening theme. It was a drama and I don't think it featured much comedy. The kids were in their early or mid teens.
openPlease help me find this show, and this movie. Live Action TV
There is a movie and a show I am looking for. 1. The movie was live action, probably from the late 80s to early 90s. All I can remember is that there were 3 siblings (I believe), possibly and older brother and sister, and then a younger sibling. They either traveled back in time and made friends with dinosaurs, or they some how met the dinosaurs in present time, but I'm leaning towards the time travel.
2. It was a live action tv show, again probably from the early 90s. It was a group of kids that would go with this bear, human sized bear, on adventures on his flying bed. One episode they went to the wild west to find out who stole a bag of cookies or something? It kinda felt like a knock off of Barney.
Thanks in advance!
openChildren's educational show from the early to mid 90's? Live Action TV
I remember watching an educational children's program from I want to say the early 90's. It had a live action robot with a female voice, and some kind of purple gas cloud that would fly around the screen. I seem to remember the robot's name just being, "robot" and the purple gas cloud was named "imagination". In the intro song they kept repeating, "look up!" then I remember, "Have you got questions? yes you do!" It was mainly about space I think.... Can anyone help me?
open2003 to around 2007 sci-fi show Live Action TV
I'm going nuts trying to remember this tv show. It was short, can't remember if it was cancelled or it only had 1 or 2 seasons maybe. It was an old guy (I could swear it was Morgan Freeman, but I'm probably wrong, since IMDB didn't bring anything up when I searched for him), that started rounding up a group of kids with paranormal powers. They could talk to ghosts, or see the future. It was a depressing group, I think they were introverted, or attempted suicide or something like that. I know, my description isn't the best, but I can barely remember the show. I think I remember the old guy being in a wheelchair, and the co-protagonist was a redhead, that kept refusing to join the group.
opentrying to remember a fantasy style tv show i saw as a kid Live Action TV
i saw this show (kids/teens target audience) when i was younger sometime in the early to mid 2000's i think: what i remember was a group of teens got a power each and i seem to remember that they had colours associated with the powers. i think one of them had the black associated power that let them see far away and like down corridors and round corners if you know what i mean by that. the only other thing i remember i recall is it having a somewhat oriental theme to it. (edit) it kinda reminds me of power rangers but i don't think it was and i think there was two sisters one older and one younger who were like the main characters of the group with the older one being like the stereotypical group leader .
if anyone has any idea what show i'm talking about it would be a great help to know what it was called
Edited by jampixelopenVHS show confirmed to be lost media?! Live Action TV
Okay, so I noticed users named Tiara and clxtro making YKTS queries about a show on VHS. I noticed it shared similarities to a query I saw several months ago, and have now located that query - it's posted by a third user named Kyle92. Since three people remember this, it's more likely than not to be a show that existed.
From the info given by all three queries, it's a live-action show about a bear (it seems to be a full-body puppet bear similar to Bear from Bear in the Big Blue House) who had a flying bed that he would travel on with some children. If this show had more than one episode, the episode the three queries point to is about the bear and the kids traveling to the wild west to help a cowboy look for some cookies for some reason. At least one of the queries says it's on VHS, so it might be a direct-to-video series.
I decided to point this out because, again, this show definitely exists if there are three users who remember it, but it's very much lost media since we don't even have the name of this series yet. Any further info about this show that you can remember or find is highly appreciated. Thanks.
UPDATE 8/10/21: Someone finally pinpointed the piece of media these people were looking for; it's called The Numberland Trail.
Edited by SparkPlugTheTroperopenAnimated TV show episode - crickets "booing" a performance Live Action TV
This is from an American (could be Canadian...) TV cartoon series, leaning more towards adult viewers and relatively recent (i.e. previous 10 years or so). The character is doing a live performance in a theatre and when he is finished the camera pans to the audience. It's full of crickets (the insects) and it's quiet for a moment and then all the crickets start yelling "booooo". The funniest twist on the "disinterested-cricket" trope I've seen.
I just can't remember the show and no matter how much I google variations on this, I can't find it. Anybody out there who can help me?
Thanks
Edited by WFHProcrastinatoropenScary Hospital Promo(?) Live Action TV
I apologize if this isn't enough detail.
Back in 2010-2011, there was this commercial that scared me as a kid, which I think was a promo to a show or something. It had a narrator talking about ways doctors "change the way patients behave" and it had visuals of hospital patients screaming, one of which seeming to have two vertical cuts at either side of their nose.
This is a vague memory, but I highly doubt it was something my brain made up, because my young mind wouldn't have generated something this twisted.
open(SOLVED) Doctor Who episode with a room that had skeletons in it Live Action TV
There was one Doctor Who episode that scared me as a kid. Well, actually, several, but I know what most of them were, and then there's this one that I don't know the title of. And no, this moment wasn't listed on the show's Nightmare Fuel page last time I checked. It was an episode of the new series (considering how old I was at the time, it was probably either a 9th or 10th Doctor episode, though the slight possibility of being an 11th Doctor episode is there, and the scene that scared me involved a futuristic looking room filled with skeletons (the episode earlier showed the same room, but the people were alive. The room with skeletons may have had ice in it as well, but I don't remember) and then it showed a girl screaming in a somewhat dark room.
Does anyone know what episode this was?
Edited by KingofNightmaresopenHorror/Scary show? help! Live Action TV
For the life of me, I can't find this show please help me. I remember very distinctly being scared out of my mind in the mid to late 2000s by this show that told scary stories. I can't remember if these were separate episodes or if they told multiple stories in one episode. The two stories I remember are as follows. A girl goes to a thrift store or some kind of second-hand store and buys a dress, that night she goes out with her boyfriend and wears the dress. She goes onto the dancefloor and starts dancing, then she starts to feel sick, she sits down, and eventually passes out. you then get a glimpse of the girl on an autopsy table and we're told that the dress was given to the store because the last girl to wear it had died. The second story is that of a man who gets on an airplane. As he's sitting in his seat he begins to hear a noise. He calls the flight attendant who leans over to inspect the window where he thinks the noise is coming from and suddenly the window breaks and the flight attendant is sucked through the window and ripped apart. The man is left there covered in blood spatter and we the audience get a shot of outside the plane while a leg clad in a heel falls to towards the earth. Thanks so much for your help I'd really appreciate if we figured this out!
openTelevision show about a murder in a rich family. Live Action TV
The main character was a woman who I believe was in her early to mid-twenties. I'm almost positive that she was black. The woman returns to the home of a super rich family where she grew up. Her mother worked for this family when she was little (I believe that she was a live-in maid). One of the daughters in the family was her close friend growing up but is now either dead or missing. The woman begins to investigate what happened to the friend. The family also has another daughter who is a teenager. In the first few episodes it is revealed that this girl is actually the daughter of the woman who was killed and not her sister. The girl was blonde.
I want to say that the show aired around 2011 but I can't say for sure because I'm almost positive that when I saw it it was on Netflix or Hulu or my cable's on demand service. I also know that the show only lasted one season.
openUnknown Live Action TV
One episode from a T.V. series I think in the 70's. Kind of like the show Amazing Stories. I am still searching NBC's web page for it. A mans son wants to open up a burger place in the 1950's. He needs money and the dad mortgages the house but doesn't tell the son. The son has a deadline to sell his first burger or the people the dad gave the money to will take the house and the business. Of course right near the deadline the son sells his first burger to a customer and the customer takes a bite. The dad keeps the house and the son keeps the business.
openI don't know Live Action TV
I remember 2 things.
There's a killer demon baby with a mother that hides it away from people
There's a "emitter" that's a square vintage TV when turned on shows a picture of a black and white blonde girl. Looks like like a mug shot. But if anyone looks at it in any way shape or form it "thinks for itself" and kills whoever looked at it.
IÂ remember:
I saw this in France in the mid-90s on TV, but it was clearly a US thing ( baseball was a core theme which is a dead giveaway even for tiny me ). Was a TV movie or a self-contained episode of a sci-fi show/anthology.
I'm sure I'm missing a lot but IÂ have been obsessed with finding this thing over the years, it's literally the only time ever that Google has failed me ( also browsed all relevant TV Tropes pages without luck ).
As it's been so long it's possible I might have made some element up along the way, but I'm pretty sure about those I wrote here.
If you know the name, it'd help me so much!
EDIT:Â If you read this and also remember/want to know about this movie, please please say so in the comments, so we can get you to describe what you remember, and maybe find some extra info we don't have yet.
EDIT:Â Thanks to a kind commenter, I was reminded of the D.A.R.Y.L movie, which is very close in terms of plot, but is definitely not the same movie.
